Welcome to The Shift Network’s Mobilizer Program, which lets you work with our core team on advancing our shared work. On this page, you will find information about the program and easy guidelines to get you started.
The Shift Network’s mission is to inspire people to make the shift to a peaceful, sustainable, healthy, and prosperous way of life . If you are a person who is committed to making that change, being a Mobilizer might be for you!
Joining the Mobilizer team provides participants with opportunities to practice principles of service, community involvement, reciprocity, and relationship building. As a Shift Network Mobilizer, you will have the chance to work with Shift Network staff members to support important initiatives advancing work related to the global paradigm shift. As a thank you, you are often able to earn credit hours toward Shift Network courses.
What do Mobilizers do?
There are a variety of tasks our Mobilizers may do. In the past, they have included things like:
- Various activities to support our Birth 2012 Program events
- Social Media support
- Supporting Shift Network Team members on specific projects and activities
- Creation of local or tour events
- Shift Movement group moderation
- Proofreading for Barbara Marx Hubbard’s new book Birth 2012 and Beyond
Getting started:
Browse our activity listings below. If you find something you like and would like to sign up to support, click the "Register" button next to it, and let us know the talents and skills you have to share and what tasks you would like to help with.
Choose the task that best fits your skills and availability. Please be sure to read each listing carefully to be sure that you match any required skill levels.
As a thank you for your time and support on any of the tasks listed below, Mobilizers may be able to attend certain events for free or accrue credits towards approved Shift Network Courses.
There are also several different ways for you to get involved with events taking place right in in your community:
- Visit our Birth 2012 events page and find a celebration near you.
- Read our weekly Shift Catalyst e-zine for more information about highlighted regional events seeking local volunteers.
- Create an event of your own! If you cannot find a regional event happening in your community, it could be that you are the one being called to birth it. Visit birth2012.com for more information on creating a celebration in your community.

Activity Listings
We are looking for someone to drive calls for telesummits- please contact for more information.
In exchange for your time and service, mobilizers can earn $10 per hour in course credit and, as a bonus, will get to listen in on any calls you are driving.
The Birth Day is upon us and we have some wonderful volunteer opportunities for our Los Angeles Birth 2012 Gala Event!
Positions are not yet assigned, but we will add you to the list and give specific assignments as we get closer to the date of the event. We also have some pre-event publicity opportunities, so please sign-up as soon as possible.
We will need work exchange volunteers from December 20th- December 21st, and for the Mainstage presentation and global broadcast on December 22 including a dance party at night at the Agape International Spiritual Center. Work Exchange Volunteers are needed each of the three days and for pre-event publicity (but you will not necessarily need to be available for all of these days as our main positions are on Dec. 22).
There are a limited number of volunteer/work exchange slots available for people who would like to support the event in exchange for event viewing access. Please be aware that not everyone who expresses interest will be able to do work exchange and that work exchange guarantees entry (not necessarily a seat) at the event. We are looking for people who can help out for up to 5 hours on 2 of the three event days (a total of 10 hours of service). In exchange for your support, you will receive free entry into the event.
In exchange for note taking, you will receive access to the MP3 recordings and transcripts for each session you complete. Complete 10 or more sessions in a summit and you will receive access to the recording and transcripts from the entire summit ($147 value).
Mobilizers can earn free access to the summit MP3s and PDFs in exchange for reliable and consistent support
